Scope:
Radical Torque Solutions was approached by a customer in Queensland seeking a reliable and efficient solution for engine barring across multiple applications. The primary focus was on a CAT 793 engine used in mining trucks.

Challenge:
The customer required a torque solution capable of delivering smooth, continuous rotation while accommodating various engine configurations. It was essential that the system not only met the mechanical requirements but also enhanced operator safety and ease of use.

Solution:
After conducting on-site assessments and trialling a range of demonstration tools, RTS identified the optimal RAD Gun model and developed a custom reaction arm kit tailored to the customer’s specific needs. This combination provided the precision, control, and flexibility required for effective engine barring on the CAT 793 and similar equipment.

Outcome:
The success of this setup led to the implementation of the same kit across multiple branches nationwide, as the customer quickly recognised significant improvements in both productivity and safety.
